The Old Rectory Clinic - Iron Acton, Bristol
Therapist profile
I offer integrative, relational counselling for adults, creating a supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s been weighing on you, at your own pace. I aim to create a space where you can truly be yourself, bring whatever you need and feel held, understood, supported and less alone. I know how powerful this can be because I have experienced the benefits of counselling myself.
I tailor my approach to what you are experiencing drawing from Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Psychosynthesis perspectives and grounded in the core person-centred values of empathy, genuineness and non-judgment. I have supported adults in sensitive situations with a broad range of challenges, including but not limited to bereavement, supporting a loved one with a life-limiting illness as well as addiction. Together we may explore your thoughts, feelings, patterns, relationships, and past-experiences linking things together to ease what’s weighing on you, deepen self-understanding, feel lighter and grow as a person.
Being trauma-informed means I prioritise your sense of safety, help you learn ways to feel more resourced and regulated and explore your experiences in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
