Therapist profile

After growing up with a McTimoney Chiropractor for a mother, I jumped at the chance to train and help others in the way that this special and relatively gentle form of chiropractic has helped myself and others and have now been qualified for over 10 years. I am a keen sportswoman around my work and family life and can always be found on a netball court at the weekends during the season or in the gym in any spare moment I have. I have a special interest in sports performance but also helping people of all ages and abilities achieve the best from their bodies be that at work, around the home or in the garden.

I am a fully registered chiropractor with the General Chiropractic Council and a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association. I primarily treat with gentle McTimoney Chiropractic and complement with Kinesio Taping and soft tissue techniques where appropriate.

The McTimoney method of Chiropractic is a whole body approach using gentle and effective adjustments to the body to create balance throughout in addition to free movement of joints and muscles in a drug free and hands on manner. The gentle nature of the method makes it especially suitable for people of all ages, including young babies, pregnant women and the elderly as well as treating minor sports injuries.

Chiropractic can help with a number of problems including:

  • Low back pain
  • Headaches coming from the neck
  • Shoulder rotator cuff injuries, disease or disorders
  • Minor sports injuries
  • Sciatica
  • Migraine prevention
  • Joint pains including hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis
  • Generalised aches and pains
  • Mechanical neck pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Plantar fasciitis (short term management)
  • Soft tissue disorders of the shoulder
  • Elbow pain and tennis elbow arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck
  • Cramp
  • Tension and inability to relax
