Therapist profile
Hello, my name is Liam and I'm a qualified and accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor and EMDR Therapist, offering one to one therapy for adults. With a background in the mental health sector since 2009, I've worked across a range of settings including private practice, employee assistance programms (EAPs) and voluntary organisations. I bring a grounded, compassionate approach to my work, aiming to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to explore the challenges you're facing.
My practice is rooted in psychodynamic principles, which means we may explore how your past experiences and relationships impact your present difficulties. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or low, I offer support that is collaborative, thoughtful and paced to suit you.
I'm also a qualified EMDR Therapist, but after a short career break, I'm planning to refesh my training to ensure I'm fully up to date. I hope to begin offering EMDR shortly. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, is a structured and evidence-based approach that can help process trauma and other distressing experiences.
Whether you're new to therapy or returning after some time away, I welcome the opportunity to work alongside you.
