Dr Helen Fairchild is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS and charity sector for over 10 years. She specialises in working with children, adolescents and families, and is trained to help with problems such as depression, low self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, social anxiety, poor sleep, self-harm, anger and behavioural difficulties. Helen has a large amount of experience working with young people on the autism spectrum or with other neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD or learning difficulties. She predominantly uses a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) model, but also uses parenting and other approaches depending on the needs of the family, and she enjoys working creatively with young clients.

Helen has experience of providing training to professionals and students on emotional difficulties and neurodevelopmental disorders in children. She has also worked in academic settings and has published papers on the topics of mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, rare genetic conditions and eating disorders.

Helen is part of the Bristol Child Psychology Practice. She is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of The British Psychological Society.

Therapy fees: £110 for the initial assessment lasting approximately an hour an a quarter | £90 for all further sessions lasting for approximately 50 minutes each
