Alexandra Ogando

The Old Rectory Clinic - Iron Acton, Bristol

Therapist profile

My name is Alex and I am a Dramatherapist who works with young people aged 10-17, and adults over the age of 18. I have experience working with some of the South West’s most prominent support services, including: the NHS CAMHS Crisis Intervention Team, 1625 Independent People, Creative Youth Network, Next Link, The National Autistic Society, Mind, and Off The Record, where I continue to work part-time as a therapist.

As a Dramatherapist, what I offer is unique. I am trained in psychotherapy (a type of talking therapy), and alongside this, I am qualified to intentionally use creativity for psychological benefit; helping you to understand and manage emotional and physical distress. I have over a decade of experience supporting individuals struggling with their mental health, helping them to express themselves, re-discover a sense of purpose, and cultivate hope for the future. Additionally, I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and am CBT and DBT informed. I feel that because of my varied experiences and skill sets, I can offer a holistic therapy experience that is as unique as you are.

You can find out more about me and Dramatherapy on my website (see below) or you can give me a call or email and I will be happy to talk more about who I am, what I offer, and answer any questions you may have.
