Rue is an experienced integrative counsellor working primarily with a person-centred approach to counselling whilst drawing from other theories and approaches to suit the clients needs, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA).
Rue has experience working with, adults, relationships, and young people 12yrs and over. Covering areas such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, bereavement, loss, addiction, health, relationships, anger management, OCD, panic attacks and low self esteem.
After studying level 5 therapeutic counselling, Rue went on to open one of Bristol’s most popular, up and coming counselling organisations, where she manages 16 counsellors and has been provided with large amounts of experience helping vulnerable adults and children.
As your counsellor Rue is there to see your struggles from your point of view and provide a safe, non-judgmental space which will enable you to feel at ease and accepted. This will allow you to explore and utilise your own strengths and personal identity. Working together, Rue can aim to help the client reach goals they set out for themselves, help to recognise any unhealthy behaviours and aim to guide the client to becoming the best version of themselves.
