I've practiced yoga for many years (after finding myself drawn to it after suffering from back problems). Very quickly after my first class I became hooked and noticed the many benefits, both physically and mentally. I finally decided to fly to India to do my yoga teacher training, during my time there I could fully immerse myself into the spirituality of the practice.
I teach vinyasa yoga, this style of yoga involves lots of variety but almost always includes some sun salutations. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale. By concentrating on the breath it allows the mind to switch off but still expect plenty of movement and not just stretching. I like to think of my teaching approach as friendly and welcoming and my classes at The Old Rectory Clinic will be kept small (8 or less) ensuring I give everybody my full attention.The Old Rectory Clinic in Iron Acton is conveniently located with easy access from Yate, Chipping Sodbury, Frampton Cotterell, Coalpit Heath, Winterbourne, Westerleigh, Thornbury and the surrounding areas.

I have a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma in teaching yoga (Level 4 on the National Framework), taught by Andrea Newman (now part of the SWYA).
