Katherine is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS and charity sectors for the last fifteen years. Her background in adult mental health has provided her with specific skills in working with adults affected by low mood, depression and anxiety. She has a special interest in working with post-traumatic stress and is an Eye Movement and De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. She draws on a range of approaches whilst recognising the importance of the relationship between therapist and client. Approaches used include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness-based approaches and EMDR. Katherine is committed to working collaboratively with the client to make sense of, and manage, their experiences. Katherine has a longstanding interest in the relationship between creativity and emotional health and completed her doctoral research in this area. She enjoys helping others access their innate creative potential to enhance wellbeing. Katherine also offers coaching sessions for individuals wishing to make changes in their personal or professional lives.Katherine is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds chartered status with the British Psychological Society.
