Dr Nina Meikle qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2009 from Plymouth University. Since then Nina has worked predominantly in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), holding several specialist positions within CAMHS including working with under 5s, children who are fostered or adopted and with children excluded from mainstream education. Nina held a specialist role supporting children with Cardiac Conditions and their families in Bristol Children’s Hospital. Nina recently worked within NHS community Paediatrics with children with physical disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Conditions and neurodevelopmental difficulties.
Nina’s varied clinical experience allows her to work skilfully with a wide range of difficulties that children and young people may experience from birth to adulthood. Nina’s interests lie in family work, issues relating to attachment, anxiety, difficulties with emotional regulation and behaviour, distress related to physical health, and issues relating to diagnosis such as ASD / ADHD.
Nina creatively adapts her therapeutic approach to the needs of the client, drawing on a number of therapeutic approaches such as Family Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness based approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Psychological research based approaches to parenting.
Nina is committed to on-going professional development and has a strong interest in emerging research that indicates the importance of including the body in therapeutic approaches. She has completed specialist training in Yoga Therapy for mental health in children and young people and Yoga Therapy for Autism.
Nina has extensive experience of providing training and consultation to a wide range of education, health and social care professionals around children’s mental health.

£110 for the initial assessment lasting approximately an hour and a quarter
£90 for all further sessions lasting for approximately 50 minutes each.
