Dawda is an integrative counsellor having completed his Foundation Degree with the University of Plymouth. Dawda specialises in working with children and young people from the age of 8 years old upwards. As an integrative counsellor Dawda draws upon a range of theories to build a unique framework for his individual clients needs, including transactional analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic and a person-centred approach.Over the past decade Dawda has worked as a Support Worker and mentor for children and young adults. Dawda has gained a wide range of experience including working with autism, learning difficulties, ADHD, challenging behaviour, young people within the justice system, anxiety, disassociation, OCD, suicidal thoughts, gender identity and much more.Dawda is also an experienced counsellor for adults with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, addictions and anger management.More recently, Dawda has been a counsellor within a well known organisation for children and young adults. Within this role he has gained a wealth of experience in helping young people express their feelings and emotions using a range of creative media including expressive arts, sand play, music and role play.Dawda is a passionate counsellor and strongly believes in equality and inclusion for all, therefore, he strives to provide a safe, non-judgemental space which is tailored to suit his clients unique and individual needs.Dawda is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and follows their code of ethics.
