What is Swedish Massage?

Swedish massage therapy is one of the best known type of bodywork performed in the UK today. It is also known as Traditional Massage. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish massage can be both relaxing and energising. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
