Mind, Body and Wellbeing Classes

At The Old Rectory Clinic we believe in the importance of wellbeing for both mind and body. This can be achieved through guided, supportive classes which are suited to individual needs. We offer a wide selection of classes taught by our highly qualified and experienced instructors in a comfortable, safe space in which to explore the body and mind. These include Yoga, Pilates, Meditation and Sound Therapy. We offer both day time and evening classes to allow choice and flexibility.

We keep our classes deliberately small so we are able to provide an individual and tailored approach for all ages and abilities.

Baby Massage Classes

Massage is a lovely way for parents and care givers to bond and express their love and care for their baby. Baby massage is gentle, rhythmic stroking of each part of the baby's body with warm hands in a calm, reassuring way. The soothing strokes of hands stimulates the production of the feel good hormone oxytocin in the massage giver, the baby and even partners and caregivers, if they are present. Regular massage enables bonding time and sensory stimulation. It can calm and sooth baby and settle baby to sleep. Studies have shown that routine touch and massage in baby’s can lead to improved physiological, cognitive, emotional and social development.
